Visit Kerala's most celebrated Krishna temple together with Thrissur district's historic Shiva, Shakti and Bharata shrines.

A little background on each place this pilgrimage takes you to.
One of Kerala's most visited shrines, dedicated to Lord Krishna in his four armed form as Guruvayurappan. Tradition holds that the idol was worshipped by Krishna himself at Dwaraka before being brought here, and the temple is known today as Bhuloka Vaikunta.
A Shiva temple adjacent to Guruvayur, traditionally visited together with the Krishna temple there as part of the same local custom. It is counted among the 108 historic Shiva temples of Kerala.
One of Kerala's oldest and most significant Shiva temples, set on a hillock at the centre of Thrissur city and traditionally linked to Parashurama. A protected national monument known for its ancient murals and Koothambalam, its grounds host the famous Thrissur Pooram festival.
One of Kerala's oldest Shakti shrines, dedicated to the goddess Bhadrakali, standing in Kodungallur near the site of the ancient port of Muziris. Its rituals reach back to old mother goddess worship traditions that predate many of the state's more conventional temples.
Koodalmanikyam Temple at Irinjalakuda is one of the very few temples in India dedicated to Bharata, brother of Lord Rama, making it a distinctive stop among Kerala's Vaishnavite shrines. Its architecture and rituals follow classical Kerala temple tradition.
